So, this is it. There were a few surprises, like how I really don’t get why Bradley Cooper isn’t nominated for best director. Also, why only three nominations in make-up and hairstyling? And I have to admit that I was wrong. Not very wrong, but I was wrong. In a blog post about A Star is Born, I predicted that the movie would get six nominations. They have seven! But Bradley Cooper can’t win Best Directing, so my predictions for the winners is wrong, too.

Roma 10 times, A Star is Born 8 times, BlacKkKlansman 6 times, Green Book 5 times, Bohemian Rhapsody 5 times, The Favourite 10 times, Vice 8 times, Black Panther 7 times. We have to keep an eye on these movies, they will definitely win one or more statues!

Overall, I can’t say that I am surprised. I agree with this list. I haven’t seen all the movies, like Roma, but I’ve heard great things about it; so I’m not surprised. I’m looking forward to the actual ceremony!
