Summer’s finally begun, and I can’t wait to watch some of the summer blockbusters this year! Summer blockbusters are always a bit of a thing, I think it’s the best time of the year for new movies – along with Christmas, oh I love Christmas!
Mamma Mia! Here we go again
It’s been 10(!!!) years since we saw Sophie still not getting a real dad and now all the characters are back! Although… It seems that Donna has died (I was shocked when I watched the trailer for the first time) and that Sophie’s expecting a child with Sky.
Donnas best friends, Tanya and Rosie, are coming to Kalokairi, where they tell Sophie the story of her mom – How she met ‘the three dads’, Harry, Bill and Sam, and what Donna and the Dynamos been up to in the good ol’ time.
So what am I hoping to see? Maybe finding out who the real dad was after all and if Sam’s been with Donna after we saw them getting married in a-spur-of-the-moment. New ABBA songs, even more of beautiful Greece (although the village was built on set and doesn’t exist in real life): I can’t wait!
    Incredibles 2
Another sequel, this time to a movie released fourteen years ago. Last week, I rewatched the first one. I think, along with Dumbo, The Incredibles is the movie I’ve watched most in my childhood.
So in the first part we saw that superheroes were forbidden to do superherostuff. Mr. Incredible came in touch with his superfan, Buddy, only to find out that years later, Buddy has gone mad and became a villain, Syndrome. Syndrome caught Mr. Incredible, along with the rest of his superhero family. At the end of the movie, Syndrome was defeated but we saw another person that might be a villain, who introduced himself as the Underminder. End of movie.
So in this part, we’ll probably find out what’s up with the Underminer. It takes place right after the first movie, so we’re still in the 70’s. Mr. Incredible has always been the best superhero, but this time it’s time for Elastigirl, his wife, to shine! While Elastigirl is saving the world from villains (probably the Underminer), Mr. Incredible isn’t Mr. Incredible but just Bob Parr. He’s going to have to take care of the kids. Violet with her invisibility and protective bubbles, Dash with his superspeed, and Jack Jack, who was supposed to be ‘normal’ turns out to have superpowers as well: Not just one, but at least SEVENTEEN!
    Love, Simon
This movie was released a few months ago in the USA, but the Netherlands had to wait until June to watch it. I’ve seen this one and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
Simon’s gay and nobody knows it: Even his best friends don’t. He’s going to a school were nobody’s openly gay, so it’s a pretty big deal when a message appears on a schoolsite about Blue, another gay boy at the school. Simon sends the boy a message – anonymously – and they start a conversation. Simon wants to know who this boy is, but Blue doesn’t want to know who Simon is. They both remain anonymous, but Simon’s getting blackmailed. A boy at his school threatens him to out him, and he does… Simons secret isn’t a secret anymore, but Blues secret stays secret. Simon’s desperate to find out who Blue is.
